Question:
I am starting to invest in rental properties and need to know who would be the best person to speak with about the business and how to handle things.
Answer:
John:
Good luck.
My recommendation would be to find an accountant in the area where you want to invest that focuses on that type of business.
Look in the phone book and choose several that claim to operate in that arena and then visit each of them. It's usually better to pick someone whose been around the block a few times rather than some young know-it-all.
IMHO, your best bet is to partner up with someone who knows what they're doing in a deal or two to learn. Offer them more of the profit in return for their knowledge.
