Question:
I am 25 years old, make about 40k a year with annual 10k pay increases (Government pay schedule :-). I am completely preoccupied with paying off my credit cards as soon as possible(currently $4000) and then saving and investing the rest, spending as little of it as possible on myself. After paying off my credit cards, which should take no more than a few months, I plan on stashing the rest of my savings into a high-interest online savings account, such as HSBC Direct (5% apy) I recently enrolled in the Fidelity 2040 Freedom Fund for my Roth IRA, but I feel like it might not be the best bet for me to maximize the returns on my investment. Where can I find a personal financial advisor who will help guide me through the various investment possibilities out there for me and won't cost an arm and a leg? Anyone here have any wisdom they can share? Thanks!
