They used to be American Express Financial Advisors. I worked for them when they were still Amex. That's been about 6 years ago. They paid all licensing fees and even paid me for 12 weeks of study time before I took the license exams. Even with their help, it's a tough business to get started in. If you make it though, the money can be very, very good.
I hate them... They use to be called American Express Financial Advisors. I was talked into transferring my 401K to an IRA with them when I was leaving a company, they did a horrible job of taking care of my money. They did not make me any money, I lost money in the 10 yrs I had them. My advisors never stayed with the company, it was a revolving door, therefore, no one really watched/monitored my account correctly.
To make a long story short, I finally cancelled my account with them transferred all to a local Bank - I now have the best Advisors around and I have doubled my IRA in less than 1 year.
