How can I find a financial advisor?
Question:
Answer:
And now for the other opinion (Hello again, Trade Info...)
Finding a qualified financial planner that you can trust can be a daunting task. DO NOT be afraid to ask hard questions.
Questions to ask:
How do you get paid?
Who is your broker/dealer and how do you determine what financial products to use?(Some B/D's apply pressure to their representatives to sell proprietary products over others. You want to avoid this.)
How long have you been providing financial advice?
Do you have clients that would be willing to talk to me about your services? If not, why?
If the planner gets nervous or evasive about answering these questions, don't bother asking any more questions. A trusting relationship with a worthy financial planner is an incredibly valuable relationship. A good starting point would be the Planner Search feature on teh Financial Planning Association website, www.fpa.net
best financial advisor would be you. only you can make the right choices for yourself. try educating yourself, read bobbrinker.com educational info and reading list.
if you put 1 year into learning you will at least be able to hire someone if you don't want to do it yourself, but you will immediately recognize if they are doing good for you or out to steal you blind, "Shark Attack".
