Does anyone know what an Ameriprise financial advisor do? Is it in an office enviroment? Call center?

Question: I received an e-mail for a position as an advisor. I've read about what the position is for. What I'm wondering, is if this a " cold calling" position, call center, do clients call you for appoitments? Is it salary + commision? I'd like to know from anyone working there or that has worked there before. Specifically in the downtown Los Angeles location.

A financial adviser is a recognized tittle by US law that says you need a license to get paid to give advice.
..A series 6 or 7 is needed to be legally paid.
