Foreclosure!?
Question:
Answer:
Usually it's a pretty involved process requiring that the borrower have missed serveral payments. The lender doubtless wouldhave sent at least dozen letters, phone calls etc before the foreclosure process really began. This is something which can take as few as three or four months to occur.
Each state has different laws governing foreclosure and the process. Some states could take 6 months or more. Others within 30 days. Check with an attorney that specializes in these matters.
The process will take roughly take 3mos to complete.normally 3 letters, then court ,then the sheriff to serve the papers, then 5days before they put your belongings on the street. Please don't wait for this process if you can't pay and have somewhere to go do it before its too late.

The difference is each state has it's own set of laws. lenders also have their own policies. So the number of times they contact you is based on policy.
As far as how long it takes, again this is based on state law. You can obtain this information from your county office where they keep the records for real estate. Don't be shy ask someone for help. It is their job to serve the public.YOU! That is where you can find the best source of information. I have an ebook I can offer you for free. It may answer some of your questions. If you email me I will send it to you direct
Good luck

Depends on the state
In the state of California is 90 days, but the inbetween process that I have to typed up the paperwork is 30 days or less.
Inbetween process for Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Oregon all have to be done within 10 days. My foreclosue bankruptcy team works only on the west coast.
Please read this blog on just that topic. It has examples of the paperwork you can expect.
