Work with a buyer's agent that buys one of the good lists that go out end of the day of recording as part of their business.
There's an awful lot of folks with "make money on foreclosures" plans they want to sell you. The vast majority are worthless. Working the foreclosure market takes at least some cash that you are prepared to risk losing.
I agree with REALTOR in San Diego. Work with an agent, who has a list of Bank Owned properties. When you work with an agent, it's free for you. I'm an agent and have such lists in my area.
Yes, you can get a good deal on a foreclosed property, but do not expect to buy a million dollar house for a hundred bucks. Never happens.
