Question:
Should I do a title search after I win property at the auction or before the property goes into auction?
Answer:
Definitely do some research before you bid. I wouldn't spend too much, buy try to get as much information as you can. The title insurance company for the foreclosing attorney may be willing to help you. Tell them that you will purchase a policy from them if you win the property at auction and they will be more willing to help. There are often numerous liens on foreclosure properties. They didn't pay the mortgage, they probably didn't pay other debts either.
