Has anyone ever gone through a foreclosure on a home and been able to obtain amortgage or home loan again?

Question:
Without bankruptcy.

Answer:
yes it is possible. if your credit score is above 525 and the Mortgage now has a zero Balance you can optain a new mortgage
Yes, it's possible. Depending on your credit score and down payment, you can easily get a new loan after two years (FHA or VA) and after four years (FNMA). The foreclosure is a MAJOR issue, don't get me wrong, but it's not a permanent thing.

Some sub-prime lenders will let you buy a home within a few months of a foreclosure IF you have enough downpayment - thirty to forty percent.
