Is it possible to buy foreclosures without attending seminars offered by every Tom,Dick and Harry out there?

Question:
It doesn't seem like rocket science.

Answer:
It's not. But it's not the golden path to riches either. Know real estate and a good title search.
I would check out some of the free articles and forums at http://www.reiclub.com/ and also at http://www.thecreativeinvestor.com/...
You might want to work as a bird dog for someone first and learn from them. Buying foreclosures is not rocket science, but buying foreclosures with creative financing or at the right price can be a little a tricky.
Yes! You certainly can. It isn't rocket science, but it is a science, none-the-less. Yahoo real estate is a great source of information regarding foreclosures. Also, depending on what state you live in, get in contact with the county courthouse for the county in which you are interested. You can then get a schedule of what is being auctioned on the courthouse steps. You can also find information about foreclosures from major banks REO departments (Real Estate Owned). VA loan foreclosures have a website as well. You absolutely can't put a price on research. I would not recommend purchasing any property without first getting a full home inspection. At least that way you know what you're getting into.
