If I have foreclosure, would I still be able to rent an apartment?

Question:

Possibly, depending on what is found in your credit report. If your only bad item is the foreclosure, and your report shows responsibility in payment of other debts, a landlord may well look past the foreclosure, realizing that you are one of thousands who got caught up in the current real estate situation.

If your credit report show many other debt issues, the situation becomes increasingly difficult.
Well I have rented 3 apartments in life, and been approved virtually on the spot without any kind of credit or history check.

I would adivse that you be ready and willing to put down a higher security deposit, as well as up to two months rent. If you can do this many landlord will not even run a credit check. So know need to let them know about your foreclouser. I can almost gaurentee you someone will approve you.
