South florida Foreclosures how do i find them and buy them?
Question:
Find a realtor and ask them to pull a list for you of pending foreclosures. Though you may hear that foreclosures are the way to go, it is not as easy as it sounds. You may also not know what you're getting into, because you have to remember, if there's no money to pay the mortgage, then chances are, there's no money to keep the property in good condition. The market is such that you may be better off just going the traditional route. Oh, and you could also go to the courthouse and get a list of foreclosures
sflrealtor is right. be careful because most of these type properties will be fixers. but in a market like florida has, foreclosures may be a good idea. you may be able to be one of the few with equity after you fix it up a bit. if you are really looking for foreclosure/REO properties, click my profile and email me, this is what I do.
All foreclosure actions in Broward are listed in the Broward Review. Pick up a copy and it will have the properties that have actions pending, list new actions and list the properties that are for sale on the "courthouse steps". If you are really looking for your family and not an investor trying to flip a property, you could always try and approach someone before the property is sold. It is more difficult to purchase properties at the Courthouse. There are groups of investors who act in concert to outbid other people at the sales so if you end up going against one of these groups you will have a hard time getting a property at a price you want. Good luck.
