We are in our 6th mnth of a 1 yr lease and are being kicked out due to the owner being in foreclosure.?

Question:
we are current with our payments to the realty company and are being told we are supposed to be out before our lease is up what can we do legally.

Answer:
I had a neighbor go through the same thing. The owner gave her a settlement of the rent she had paid for the months she lived there, because obviously he hadn't paid it, and the cost for het to move. Not sure if that was legally what had to be done or if he did that to stay out of court. But if I were you, I'd definitely try to get that or sue.
If the new owner will allow it, then you could make arrangements to continue the lease. In the meanwhile I would have to suggest that you just go ahead and move. With the number of rentals available, you should be able to find something quickly.
