Bush's economy-Home Foreclosures at an all-time high?
Question:
Answer:
We have the best interest rates in 40 years, how is this failing? It's the people's fault for taking on ARM's (adjustable rate mortgages, for those who don't know that means house payments are different every month, usually higher) subprime loans instead of something they could financially manage, not Bush's.
remember, all this happend under bush's watch!!!
It's NOT Bush's fault people can't manage their money or refuse to educate themselves on finances.
Edit: Mary W ... I have a clue and I have plenty of money because I choose too. "Personal Responsibility", not government dependency.
Oh, here we go with the McJobs again.
There are more foreclosures because short term rates are up and because there are more home owners.
And when you read a line that most of the job creation is in the service sector that doesn't mean foodservice you moron.
It's because he's also in cahoots with the credit companies.
all ends with Hillary
Home forclosures are probably at an all time high because the market was good - they bought the house with the low interest rate - jumping the gun, and then weren't able to make the payments for whatever reason - how does the actions of the individuals relate to Bush's economy?
Don't ever forget who did it! Harley doesn't have a clue. What money?
Its only going to get worse.
You know its already bad when the lenders come out of their holes and are willing to work out new deals with people who are unable to make their mortgage payments.
And Bush's low unemployement economy is going to be marked by the number of minimum wage "sign twirlers" on the street corners nowadays.
Sign twirling is better than a $20/hr union factory job anyday, right?
Holy crap, the cost of my garbage service went up 25 cents. Damn that Bush!
You know that home foreclosures are a result of people trying to get too much for what they earn. It's also unscrupulous lenders trying to get any and everybody a loan, whether or not they could handle it.
Don't blame Bush for peoples' stupidity.
Bush has nothing to do with it, find something better to think about.
You don't know anything about the economy.
Homes are foreclosing because homeowners borrowed too much, instead of paying attention to their budget and how much debt they can handle.
Go to school.
Maybe those who are being foreclosed on bought more house than they should have. Bush didn't make them buy anything.
Someday angry liberals will realize that Bush is not to blame for everyone's problems. Irresponsible people like to use him for a scape goat. It's a pitty.
Not that you actually studied this, but those numbers have to do with the Morons who used Sub-Prime Lenders, who financed or re-financed at 100% or more equity.
All you showed here is that you didn't understand the information given.
Perhaps research a question before you ask it next time.YIKES!
the Iraq pipeline is being squeeeeeezed by the greedy hands of Big Oil and the Bush regime. If we are in Iraq, how come my gas station is charging $4.00 a gallon? Billions and Billions of dollars later, what happened to "Iraqi oil will pay for the military action". Looks like we are paying for the war and at the pump. Yet another lie from Bush propoganda machine.
Don't forget the thousands of new Wal-Mart positions.
When people are given breaks and grants for mortgages they can't afford and then there is no way to collect because they are foreign nationals and because the banks are greedy, then there is bound to be trouble. When our jobs are outsourced or given to illegal immigrants because the greedy corporations want their profits, there's bound to be trouble. When foreign nationals have access to our social security numbers and other identity information, there is bound to be trouble. Bush doesn't get it. The Government doesn't get it. Even the people don't get it. There is money to be made by the greedy banks in foreclosures. We, the taxpayers guarantee these mortgages.
Read the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights report that was given to Governor Rod Blagojevich. Illegal immigrants are running the country. Today it was announced that even though school is out, tax paying citizens are having to finance school lunches -- free school lunches for the poor whose faces just happened to be predominately hispanic when shown on TV. Look at the names who are supporting all these special treatments for illegal aliens. They are predominately foreign or hispanic. Read the foreclosure notices in the newspapers. See what nationality the majority of the names are. Get newspapers from across the country and pay attention to the fact that U.S. Citizens are facing unemployment and loss of jobs to foreign nationals and then ask yourself how long our country can last when the middle class no longer has the jobs to pay the taxes and the mortgages and for the education and free lunches for the ever-growing influx of illegal aliens? Elvira Arellano, the fugitive from justice who is holed up in the Adelberto Methodist Church in Chicago is now demanding that Lou Dobbs be taken off the air because she claims that he is racist and inciting hatred. She says the illegal aliens should be given equal time to talk. Well, it seems to me that the only people who even get to talk today are the illegal immigrant lawbreakers and their supporters. The U.S. Citizens are completely and totally underrepresented in the news, in the government and even by the Law Enforcement people.
Bush supports illegal immigration and wants to give them pathways to citizenship and even refuses to acknowledge that giving them breaks is amnesty. Lawbreakers belong in jail and Bush doesn't want to enforce the laws. That's evidenced by his failure to enforce the laws and round up those lawbreakers, including Elvira Arellano who is spouting insurrection against our citizens and our government.
BUSH THIS BUSH THAT , TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN SCREWUPS....BUSH 08
I am not a Bush supporter. But, you can't blame Bush for all those foreclosures. The blame for that lays squarely on the Federal Reserve and its chairman, who are keeping interest rates high.
The Federal Reserve is completely autonomous. Neither Bush nor congress can dictate policy to the central bank.
Oh boy. Another nit wit blaming Bush for something.
The problem is two fold:
(1) People not able to manage their finances.
(2) Predatory lending institutions.
Ocwen is one predatory lending institution.
This one isn't all Bush's fault. The problem is our debt-driven economy. Lenders were too eager to loan out money and borrowers didn't anticipate the rate increases. Some people have also been hurt by the increased cost of living and medical care.
Bush's plan for an "Ownership Society" may have increased the number of people buying a home; it was only part of the bigger picture.
It's not Bush's fault that people are too stupid to know when they are getting in over their head.
If people would use a little common sense and not spend more than they can afford then the foreclosures wouldn't be happening. If I do something stupid the only person responsible for that stupid act is me not Bush.
Yep, Gary, I hate to tell you, but they're right and you're mostly wrong. Bush doesn't cause home foreclosures. And low unemployment isn't all about fast food jobs. We're actually in a relatively strong economy because we're pumping a lot of money into the economy. All this money makes people feel wealthier and more able to buy homes, and in a sense, they are.
Most of the problem comes from the lenders in collusion with the borrowers, because both of them want to do a loan that's not really viable. Now, when interest rates edge up just slightly, people begin to lose their homes because they're hocked up to the hilt, and they can't pay all their debts.
What Bush IS responsible for is all the money sloshing around in the economy. For now, it's great, but ultimately, we will hit a weak spot, and it will either lead us to inflation or recession. It doesn't need to be that way, but Bush follows the Keynesian model of economics, and as a result, I expect inflation to hit relatively soon. THEN you can blame it on him.
