Is there a way to buy this house from the owner. Has anyone done anything like this. Its been about 4 months now since this individual won the bid for the house. What can I do to get this house? I really want it.

Contact the new owner and ask if they are interested in selling. You know what they paid for it since it was an auction, and you will now most likely need to top that bid.
Good luck, but remember, this may be their dream home also, and they were willing to pay more to get it.
Make the new owner an offer that he can't refuse.
