What should i do to avoid foreclosure?
Question:
Answer:
The foreclosure process begins when you are three months behind on your mortgage. After that you may have another 3 to 6 months before your home is sold in a sheriffs sale. If you are not three months behind, make every day count in finding money. Whatever the case, you are running out of time. You may need the help of a professional at this point. When I was in this situation, I asked the bank to take a short sale to put equity back in the home. If your credit is at least a 680 you can refi and pay the bank less than what you owe. It worked for me and I am still in my home today. I hope this was helpful.
Call your lender and explain to them. They can give you an extension. It happens every day dude, hang in there. just get on the fone and explain your deal to them.
no equity to re-fi, she's gotta get another job
sell...even if there's barely any equity. Sell and move to something more affordabel until she finds a job. Or tell her to take any job necessary to meet the morgage...ie cashier position at a local retailer.
Um-is she looking for a new job? Tell her to take whatever she can get, til something better comes! You could work two jobs for awhile. Sell, or file bankruptcy. Borrow from family or friends. Best of luck!
start selling what you can live without! cut the cable, phone, etc. have you lived there for 5 years or is the house 5 years old? if you're paying on an interest only mortgage (that happens to a lot of people) then i can see why u wouldnt have equity. does anyone owe u money?? i would start collecting for sure. i'm truely sorry for you, that's a real drag. hope everything works in your favor! good luck!
This might be offensive to some, but have you ever heard of clinical studies? I'm a college student and I do them for extra cash during the summer. The last one I did paid $5000.00 bucks for one month... some of them are only weekend studies... some of them are already approved by the FDA, just working on a different version of the drug. They sound weird, but it's a quick way to get fast money. And a majority of the people who do them are students, and struggling artists.
In the meantime, call whoever it is that you owe the money to and ask for an extension (if you haven't already).
Otherwise, here's more information on studies:
