Where can I find home foreclosures for free on line?

Question:
I live in Ohio and am looking to purchse a home. I've been trying to find repossed of foreclosed homes on line but all the sites I find want me to pay a subscription or member fee. There has to be public records somewhere. Any suggestions would be great!

Answer:
I'm in the process of purchasing a foreclosure myself, and I found quite a few on Craigslist. If you know a realtor, they can also search the MLS for bank owned homes, and send you a list. Just give them your specifications, and they'll send you what's available. There are tons of foreclosures right now in Vegas, great time to buy. Hopefully the market is the same in Ohio...=)

Good luck...
anything u find online u will pay for. Best thing about that is it is old information - useless.

go to the clerk of court office and ask where that info is. it is public information but usually not online.
Public records are available at the local county land office where you seek to purchase. A few of these counties provide foreclosure information online, but most do not. It will take legwork on your part to seek out these properties. Start by watching your local newspaper for legal notices of intent to proceed with foreclosures.
