What is your thought about houses in foreclosures in ccc that is now in 4,000+?

Question:
There are still some in pre-foreclosure stage. Yet, there are still builders building houses in the area? I think CCC stands for Contra Costa County. East Bay - Alameda counties. Is it good to buy these houses? What is better to buy - a regular house from a builder - first owner type or second owned house that is in foreclosure? Thank you for your honest advice.

Answer:
Housing prices are falling. Builders keep building because that's all they know how to do. Their profit margins won't be as giant as before, though. The question is whether or not you believe prices have hit bottom or not. If not, it's foolish to buy now. If you think prices will go up, look for the best deal you can find, do your homework, and good luck to you.
Depends on the price compared to current fair market value. If builders are pre-selling BELOW market then buy a new house. The key is the, location, price and the condition of the home.
