Is it illegal to approach a homeowner in foreclosure if you are a real estate agent?

if you have a buyer for the property and can keep the homeowner from having foreclosuer on their credit report, I would think it would be O.K.
No, my dad is in real estate and does it all the time. I see others do the same too.
No it is not illegal.

Real estate agents are not able to receive any information that classifies under the Fair Debt Law. The debtor would have to sign a release statement that authorizes the real estate agent to obtain info.
