Can a foreclosure b rmvd frm your crdt report if paid in full before a public sale date is set?
Question:
Answer:
It should just be noted that you were late 90 days on your credit report. The notice of default should not be recorded on your credit report, it's only a public notice that a foreclosure process has been initiated. That public notice has nothing to do with credit worthiness.
Congratulations for bouncing back. Make sure you correct the situation that caused you to be in foreclosure in the first place. I see too many people get high interest loans to save themselves from foreclosure, but do not correct the issue that got them there in the first place. I deal with foreclosures in Southern California and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
I wish you well.
Regards
The foreclosure never happened. All you will see in your credit report is all of the late payments to the mortgage, and you may even see it marked as having defaulted once.
Various banks/mortgage lenders will report in different ways, but most likely you can convince them to just show the late payments and that is now current.
