What is the proper format to file an answer to a foreclosure in Florida?

Question:

Answer:
Hopefully this reply does not reach you too late.

You should go to the Clerk of the Court for the county in which the action was filed.

One generally responds to an answer by either Affirming, Denying, or Stating one is Without Knowledge of each allegation set forth in the complaint. You would also raise any affirmative defenses at this point. If you are in Florida, for example, see the Florida Rules of Civil Procedure for more detail on this matter (the link is below), or see the corresponding Rules of Civil Procedure for whatever court and jurisdiction the action was filed in.

Do not construe this as legal advice & don't rely upon it. You need to seek the counsel of a lawyer to get legal advice. This is just a general pointing you in a possible direction.

contact the county sheriff's dept. in the county where the property is located. they will direct you to the proper office.
