I just went through this in missouri , in missouri you can stop it cold with a chapter 13 , you can find out what your options are through a
lawyer for free, I was about to do a chapter 13 , but I was able to get on a repayment program with my mortgage company , as far as for medical reasons , Iam not sure ,
Not unless the mortgage company agrees to it (unless you file bankruptcy). Have you called the mortgage company? Sometimes, depending on the situation, there are options they can offer you.
