Where can I find Foreclosure listing for free?

Question:
I have found some, but you always have to end up paying to get ALL the details/information on them. Does anyone know a good web page or broker that I can get or be given the listings for free?

Answer:
The MLS is not a good source for Forclosures. If it's in the MLS it's already been forclosed on and has become a REO. That means the price has been jacked up and they are going to attempt to Market Value.

Local newspapers and your sheriff's webiste is the best place.

By law they must publisize(sp) the sale a few weeks before hand.
The MLS. Multiple Listing Service, Any agent will have access to it and will be able to enter in key words to find foreclosure listings. MANY foreclosures are listed on the MLS, because they are bank owned and the banks will list through agencies because they cannot sell property. They do not have licenses and are not under a broker. Call your local realtor and have them pull some up for you. Also Realtor.com will have some, you just have to go through each listing and find key words such as, foreclosure, as is, addendum's etc...You'll get to know when it's a foreclosure listing.
