Does "Work @ home" programs really work, if so what would you recommend?

they always seem to want money first if i had money to give them or invest i would not need a job. so i never give them a chance when they ask for money i shut them out.
Most are just scams. Never "pay" to work!
Nope, they don't, go to school and find a carreer field you might enjoy. Uless ofcourse you think theres money to be made stuffing 10,000 envelopes a day for about 3 cents an envelope.

Work at home programs do work but you have to put some effort in to get the rewards. Many people are fooled by the owners or affiliates of programs out there that promise "get rich quick" schemes and are always let down.
I'm using just one and it's a very low investment so less risk for me. I'm seeing the value already as i've signed up a few people in my team and the products or tools that they provide i use everyday.

I work with NHCD and it's the best work at home job I've found.
I wouldn't trust most work at home programs, especially the ones that ask money or require you to buy expensive supplies directly from them
Work at home jobs are hard to come by and there are alot of scams but legit ones do exist.

Look into telecommuting jobs which are very hard to come by but do exist.
Freelance writing is also something that can be done if you have strong writing skills. You can write anything from term papers top product reviews. Check sites like Craigslist for writing gigs.
Ebay is also a great business for people who have the time and energy it takes to be successful at it. Also try the less popular yahoo auctions. You can sell things on Amazon as well or open up your own online store through Yahoo.

If you can dedicate a phone line and remove background noise then at home call center representative is another option there are legitimate companies that I know of who hire people for these types of jobs.
Mystery shopping is a also a good option, you can pick and choose which assignments you will take and work it around your day but never pay to mystery shop, there are hundreds of legitimate mystery shopping companies with jobs all over the country, Canada and the UK. It's good in terms of flexibility and freedom, good writing and observation skills are a must.
