Can collection accouts be consolidated? Who's the best debt consolidation company?

Question:
I have a lot of collections accounts I want to pay off. Will a debt consolidation company be able to consolidate those with my other debt so that I can make one payment a month to pay everything off in a certain amount of time?

Answer:
Yes they can. I know of a couple that you can check out and rate them yourself.

www.consumercredit.com

These are a couple of debt relief companies that can help you consolidate your bills into one monthly payment. Some of them are NON Profit and they are usually Low Cost. I'm not sure how this will show up on your Credit Report, but they will and can help if you have people calling you day and night. I'm pretty sure they don't put anything on your Credit Report about it being a Bankruptcy because its not. Hopefully this can help. Let me know how it turns out.

Don't consolidate!
This will appear as a bankruptcy on your credit report which is worse than collections. If you pay on old collections they start from that day all over again. Most collections can be removed after 2 to 3 yr. Bankruptcy lasts for 7 to 10 yr.
