What does Debt Consolidation do to my credit score and should I close accounts while I'm still paying them off

Question:

Answer:
Yes you should close any accounts that are involved with the debt consolidation. When you have consolidated your debt, your credit score will be ok. Better than filing bankruptcy. Your creditors will have to fix your credit rating with them. Believe me, you will be better off consolidating debt then filing bankruptcy. Bankruptcy can take up to 7 yrs to be off your credit....consolidation takes a lot shorter time.
