When someone helps you with debt consolidations, aren't they supposed to give you a copy of the contract?

Question:
I recently met with somone to help me with debt consolidation. I signed a few papers and she said she would have to make copies and then would sent me the copies of the contract back. I haven't received them yet. Isn't this strange. I asked her about this and she said she would resend them, but for some reason it doesn't seem like she wants me to have a copy. Isn't this strange?

Answer:
