Can debt owed to IRS be paid thru debt consolidation?

Question:
I owe, owe, owe, but no credit cards, maily school loans and IRS!

Answer:
Theoretically, yes, but I've never seen the IRS agree to do so. You will have better luck dealing directly with the lenders on the issue.
I would think so, but check with the bank and the IRS
no the neither can the school loans == why don't you just work out a payment on your own and don't pay someone else to do it!
I'd be really nervous about doing that. The IRS has a lot of power to get the money you owe them, and if the debt consolidator doesn't pay it, you could end up owing more money. These debt consolidators are notorious for taking your money and not making the payments.

If you can't come up with the cash, you'd be better off to try to get a loan for the IRS debt with a bank, and pay the bank back, if you can't work out a payment plan directly with the IRS.
No.

If you don't pay the IRS then you go to prison.
