Most of these places are worthless. They will charge you fees and do very little. You can clean up your own credit.
Make a strict budget. Eliminate the extras -- cell phone, eating out, new clothes, etc. Put every penny you can squeeze out of the budget on the highest interest rate debt, while making minimum payments on the rest. When the highest is paid, go to the next till they are all paid off.
You should be able to do this within 2 or 3 years. If you get a second job, it will go even faster.
yea. We used credit solutions for 3 months payed $120.00 a month fee. Then we found out that we could and should handle it ourselves. So we cancled and put the fee we saved on the debt.
Just remember that you are responsible for the debt. If you let some company handle it and your creditors dont get paid. YOU still owe the money.
That is how the settle a debt for less than what you owe. They dont pay em for months and then try and get them to settle for less. You dont need them to do this if that is the route that you have to take.
