Good Luck!
Send me a Strawberry Strudel!
All you need to do is know all the basics such how to cook, have all your supplies, and make sure your family likes your food so you can go out in the world and become a chef so people will enjoy your food.
I see you reposted in the correct category!! LOL

I know most community colleges have good programs.. Call them or go on-line to see if you could get a program description and course outline
1) Know what you're doing / be able to complete the job
2) Prove that you can do the job in your interview

having great references really helps

The requirements will vary depending on where you work. Obviously there is an incredible difference between the pasty chef at the donut hut on the corner and the pastry chef at "Le Cirque".
there is several steps to become a pastry chef, first you need to go to school of Culinary Arts, and then you chose which area to work with.
There are Souce chefs, pastry cheffs, Salad cheffs and of course Master cheffs.
