Where can I find information on the type of industry that a pastry chef's job would fall into?

Question:

Answer:
its in the culinary arts.restaurant industry, usually under chef or assistant chef, if you plan on making a lot of money in this field understand its VERY competitive and rarely do you make much more than minimum wage unless you become famous which is very, very rare. my friend has been in this for close to 10 yrs. paid a lot of money to go to culinary school and is right now making 12 an hour working as an assistant to a sous chef, he works 60-70 hrs a week, very hard work and very stressful but now he has nowhere else to go as culinary degrees are not worth very much.
