Do you need a high school diploma to be a pastry chef?

Question:

Answer:
You'll need to be a graduate of a recognized culinary school
Absolutely. It proves you can read instructions, write a sentence that makes sense and can work with fractions. Stay in school!
yeah i'm pretty sure you can check on www.collegeview.com or some other college site
Hell no. My wife just rolls out the pastry right on the kitchen table.
Depends where you want to work? If you want to work in a top class place i think you need to go to college for a couple of years
Absolutely not. It's nice to have one, but it's not necessary. You will be working in the kitchen with your hands. Any instructions you need to know will be told to your by the sous chef or executive chef. You just need experience in the kitchen. That's what truly counts. And as a pastry chef, you usually end up working in a cold storage area, so certain pastries puff up in the oven.
