What is a good xmas gift for a 60 year old pastry chef. That is not too expensive.?
Question:
Answer:
If he/she is a pastry chef for a living...why buy something they can use at work?! yuck! How about a gift certificate to a great local restaraunt? A few months of Netflix membership? There are always cheap things that you can find for someone you know if you just think about what they like!
Luckily they have made many new advances with cooking gadgets in the past few years, making it much easier to find cooking gifts that the recipient probably doesn't already have. The latest and greatest being about $20. Silicone collapsible measuring cups. These would be great for a pastry chef as they work with butter and shortening a lot. The collapsible cup makes it much easier to get these substances out. I have seen them at Bed Bath and Beyond.
I bake a lot, this is #1 on my christmas list.
cooking utensils! Or a chocolate fondue fountain. aprons, hats, gift certificate to a grocery store. A cook book. Bake them cookies.
Chances are this pastry chef has all the latest gadgets needed for cooking... I suggest thinking about their hobbies (if you know of any). People usually don't want gifts related to their work, even if it is a fun job.
jelly donut
A pastry chef can never have too many decorating bags ( either washable or disposable)
