Y did u become a pastry chef..??

Question:
if ur a chef or a pastry chef..why did u choose to go into it...??

Answer:
I can tell you why I DIDN'T become a pastry chef. I didn't have the patience that it takes for the "science" that is pastry/baking work. The exact measurements, the insane details, it's just mind boggling to me. I have a lot of respect for those who are truly good at pastries.
I'm a pastry chef because I love to decorate, and I've always loved working with food and baking in general. It's also satisfying knowing people appreciate what you make for them and are usually so curious and amazed how the finished product came to be.
My aunt is a pastry chef. She went to some cooking school and then got a job at a very fancy resturant. I think she wanted to do it becuase she loves cooking and watching others love it.
