Maybe you are right, FOREX offers 100 to 1 margin, and in some cases 200 to 1 margin.
I was being too optimistic when I said 1%.
At 100 to 1 margin, if your currency investment drops only 1%, you lose it all, even if the currency goes back up.
At 200 to 1 margin, if your currency investment drops only 0.5%, you lose it all, even if the currency goes back up.
So it is closer to 3/4% of FOREX traders make money.
That is of course ,assuming they use the highly advertised margins FOREX touts. If they don't use margin, their odds of not losing are much higher, but you need at least $100,000.00 USD to get started.

I don't trade on Forex, but I just wanted to point out that the first answer you received, that only 1% make money, is extremely unlikely to be true. Although it is not mathematically impossible (indeed that 1%, against immense odds, actually could be screwing everyone else), the overwhelming likelehood says that there is a winner for every loser. 50-50.
