I have always liked a MACD of 21, 55, 8
Stocastics of 8, 5, 3 with a hi baseline of 75 and low of 25
and EMAs of 200, 55, 21 and 5 and an SMA of 8
my key has always been a 5/8 cross
That really depends on the time frame you are trading and your trading style. I recommend using the Macd for the 4 hour & daily time frames otherwise there is too much noise invloved.
I use the Custom Macd setttings of 9,64, 112 which I have been using for four years now. I came to this settings after much back-testing and live trading. Me and my personal trading group do very well using my Custom Macd along with other indicators.
