Cash Advance on Capital One Platinum Standard Credit Card?

Question:
I'm planning on doing a money order for a purchase I have made on E-Bay. I'm going to use my credit card, and it's going to be a cash advance, or so I was told by my bank. So, according to Capital One, a cash advance on my card has 3% of amount of the cash advance, but not less than $5.

So, if I plan on getting a cash advance of $250, how much would it charge on my card, total?

Thank you in advance!

Off the top of my head here 257.50
Thats just the start of the costs

Besides the 3% cash advance fee, there is no grace period so interest starts accruing from day 1, THEN cash advances almost always have a higher interest rate and those cash advance interest rates are often 20% or even higher
what? Instead of a money order, why can't you just use
your credit card as payment?
