Can I become lawyer with Bachelor of Arts (Criminal Justice)?

Question:

I would check with the law school you intend to appy to and find out what their requirements are. I have a friend who had a science degree and went to law school, so I don't think it matters too much what your degree is in. Just what your grades were, etc.
Sure you can. If you have the grades and do well on the LSAT. Good Luck!
Yes. In fact, many law schools will look favorably on that BA degree.

There are a few other factors that will determine whether you can become a lawyer:

1. Have you taken the LSAT and scored high enough to qualify for admission to any good law schools? And is your undergrad GPA high enough? (Different law schools have different requirements for these)

2. Have you any direct contact with attorneys who might write letters of reference? Especially if they're grads of the law school you want to attend.

3. After you complete the JD and pass the bar exam, are you willing to do the hard work that's essential to put yourself into the professional position you want? In private practice, you start out as a law clerk doing hideous hours of case research in support of the trial attorneys in the firm; in prosecution, you get paid modestly for mechanically running dozens of criminal cases through to a plea bargain daily; in public defense, you do the same as the low-level assistant DA but you get paid even less.

4. Are there any conditions that would limit your ability to practice law? I'm thinking specifically of any speech impediments that would compromise your oral communication (think of the public defender in the film "My Cousin Vinnie" as an example). If so, a speech therapy program would be a pre-requisite.
Sure. Just go to law school. graduate, and pass the bar.
You can apply to law school with any Bachelor's degree but a degree in CJ may not have enough critical thinking and writing requirement to get you well-prepared, compared to Political Science or Philosophy. Your school probably has a pre-law advisor so you should talk to him or her. They will recommend you not only what kind of classes to take but which law schools they normally send their students.
