A friend of mine was charged with assualt with a weapon and asked if I knew a good criminal lawyer.? What should she look for in a lawyer? Any suggestions?

You look at his record first If he always plea bargains do not get him or her.. If you go to see the lawyer and he does not say he will get your friend off then do not hire him...If he says well it looks like all the evidence shows hes guilty i maybe able to plea bargain do not hire him

Look for a Criminal Defense Attorney who has previous experience working for the District Attorney's office (prosecutor).
if she did assault some one she should be in trouble and doesn't deserve a good lawyer...we don't want people on the streets that assault people with weapons
