Do you have to respond if a lawyer of the accused in a criminal case wants information that may convict or not


Question:
It is not a subpeona but a request to call the lawyer or public investigator if i can provide any information. Am I required by law to call this lawyers? I dont want to get involved and I dont know anything about the case.
It is not not a subpoena, you are not by no means required by law. Ans if you do not want to testify, you can always invoke your rights.
