Where can I find help with clearing a criminal record without having to hire a lawyer?

Question: I have an old misdeamer on my record that I would like to get expungged but I'm not sure how to go about it without having to pay a lawyer. If anyone has any advice, I'd love to hear it. Thanks.

you have to get copy of police record and then contact the city district attorney for more advice. I know when i did this for b/f 10 years ago..a letter was sent with record to the governor asking for expungement..but i forget exactly how we went about it...we broke up shortly after, so im unsure. =( wish i could help more
