A good friend of mine was arrested after having a domestic dispute with her boyfriend. No one was touched, but the bf freaked when she threatened to call the cops on him. (He had done time before). He called the cops and said that she was trying to slash him. The bf gave the home address, even though they were not home. The police came to the house cuffed and questioned the roomates, but they realized that the roomates had nothing to do with anything. Later that night, when everyone was asleep, the police came and arrested my friend in her pajamas. When they took her out of the car at the police station, an officer pointed out a small bag that he "found" in the police car after she got out. They are now charging her with assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a controlled substance. At the pretrial, the DA made a completely warped statement. She is stuck with a public defender (who she can't see until right before trial) since she doesn't have a lot of money. HELP!
