Should criminals have free lawyers?

Question:
Should there be free lawyers for criminals?

Answer:
it's in our constitution
If they can't afford one, yes. See the 6th Amendment and the Supreme Court decision Gideon v. Wainwright.
Everyone should have access to counsel. Remember innocent until proven guilty? Let's hope you never need one because you obviously don't think you would deserve one.
Only if they can't afford them. Everyone, regardless of wealth or social stature, has the right to legal representation.
Criminals NO
Innocents Victims YES

So, now how do we tell the 2 apart?
Personally, if found guilty I think they should be required to pay the system (and victims) back before those cigarettes & chocolates at the commersary.
AND NO FREE COLLEGE courses, color TV, pool tables and workout rooms. ETC.
Cot , 3 squares, a blankie and stripes PERIOD!
well everyone has the rights to have a lawyer for purposes of something but for those who are not fortunate enough to afford one then why not offer that particular service for free.
