Can the Master Cleanse Diet but used in Conjunction with Hoodia pills?
Question:
Answer:
Absolutely not. The point of the Master Cleanse is to rid your body of toxins. You don't want to add anything else to it. As your body rids itself of all the junk in it, you will naturally lose your appetite. There is no need for an appetite suppressant.
You should not take it. The point of a cleanse is to rid your body of all the toxins/wastes. Adding any supplements like this would be reversing the effect of what you are trying to do.
I'm using a Cleanse right now, too. It's called CleanseSmart and i'm very pleased with how it's working.
I've always wanted to take Hoodia but i've never tried it. I don't think it would interfere though. All the Cleanser is doing is cleansing all your areas of elimination. I've read the instruction on my cleanser and it doesn't say anything about other supplements interacting.
Let me know how it goes! I'm interested in the Hoodia, too.
I have read the Master Cleanse book and used to work in a natural grocery store where everyone tried it. The Master Cleanse isn't really supposed to be used in conjunction with anything at all. The point is that you are cleansing your body of everything. So no vitamins, no supplements, etc. You need to read the book, but short of that, just know that lemons/limes (organic) and grade B or lower Maple syrup, and cayenne are all that is allowed in the diet.
I use a system called Stack Body Tune Up which has a protein ice cream drink, citrus boosters, and herbal supplements. All of these contain hoodia. The recommendation is for the first 10 days to take 6 supplements vs. 3 supplements on the normal diet. The purpose is to cleanse the body of toxins. So using this system, there is no problem to do a herbal cleanse and using hoodia at the same time. I have lost 35 pounds since July 15, 2006 using this system.
If I can be of further assistance, let me know.
