Has anyone heard of the new diet pill "hoodia"?

Question:

Answer:
The hoodia is actually a natural (desert plant) additive being put into a lot of diet supplements now. It is found in the Trim Spa products.

Hoodia gordonii looks like a cactus, but it's actually a succulent from the Kalahari Desert in southern Africa. Bushmen from the area have been using hoodia for centuries to help ward off hunger during long trips in the desert.
Hoodia gordonii is entirely natural -- it is not a drug. Pharmaceutical companies find it so promising, however, that they are trying to isolate the appetite-suppressing molecule, P57, to create a patented diet drug in the future.
Only the gordonii variation of hoodia has appetite suppressant abilities.
Hoodia tricks the brain into thinking you've eaten, and makes you feel full.
Hoodia may work right away, or may take several weeks.
Key results of hoodia reported include a reduced interest in food, delay in the time after eating before hunger sets in again, feeling full more quickly, and a general feeling of well-being
Hoodia gordonii is not a stimulant, and has no known side effects.
Hoodia appears to be safe for most people.
yes it's suppose to be good
I have tried it, and it worked, but I didn`t get the best, I believe the best would work real good, they have more mg in them, like 700 I think.
It touts itself as "natural", but make SURE you see your dr. before taking anything for weight loss. Side effects can be deadly.
There are indications that Hoodia may cause liver damage. By having Hoodia pills alone, you will not lose weight permanently and may suffer from side effects, since your body still needs proteins and vitamins for daily activities. If you are constantly hungry and eating a lot, hoodia will reduce your appetite. More information on weight loss pills and their side effects at http://www.toloseweight.org/weightlosspi...
Hoodia is an excellent appetite suppressant. When you introduce that with a good exercise and diet plan, you can definitely enhance the weight loss. It's important to remember that there isn't a magical pill that melts the extra pounds off.

I take a supplement called Herbalean. It's made by the original creators of MetaboLife, and not only does it contain Hoodia, it also has Ephedra. It also has 77 trace minerals and 14 herbs. I've taken other supplements like HydroxyCut, Xenadrine, etc and had mixed results. With Herbalean, I get the energy through the whole day, and I definitely don't have any cravings.

I've been working a lot of hours at work, and haven't been getting enough exercise, and sure haven't been eating all that well. Still, I'm losing weight, just not as fast as I normally would with my regular exercise plan. Still, I'm not gaining like I was!
