Is it safe to take diet pills (hydroxycut) and exercise while breastfeeding?
Question:
Answer:
you should not take these pills while breast feeding as it will be passed on to your child through the milk.exercising is fine.
if you must take these pills stop breastfeeding.
do not take those pills while feeding the baby, it will go into the child and affect its growth.
You can exercise as much as you feel comfotable with. But you do need to eat a balanced diet and maintain the caloric intake that your doctor recommends. Hydroxycut is NOT ok while breastfeeding. That stuff has large amounts of caffeine, not to mention all the other chemicals, and your baby will be ingesting this too. Believe me if you did it even once you would never do it again, your baby won't sleep (besides the point that it is very dangerous.) The good news is that many studies have shown that women who breastfeed loose weight more quickly then women who don't because you are sharing the calories.
If you're breastfeeding, your child is basically ingesting everything you injest into your body.
I would probably think that hydroxcut + breastfeeding isn't a great idea. You should be able to find more info on thier [packaging or website (hydroxycut that is, not the baby)
EDIT: from the company website...
" If you are pregnant or breast feeding, you should not use HYDROXYCUT. Read the entire label before use and carefully follow the labeled directions for use.
Breastfeeding does make you loose weight! Try it the natural way! Long walks, exercise, and eating in a more controlled and conscious way.
NOOOOO...NOT while breast feeding. it should say on the bottle , dont do something that stupid to your baby.
It is fine to exercise at any time, pregnant and non-pregnant, breastfeeding or not but please know that what you ingest can be passed on to your baby through breastmilk. Most medications, both prescription and non-prescription, carry a warning about pregnancy and breastfeeding. Read the label on a bottle of Hydroxycut. If losing weight is so important that you must do it now, switch to bottle feeds with formula for your child's sake.
No not recommended at all, most bottles say " do not take while pregant or breast feeding"
well duh how about reading the little book that comes with the pill moron. No you shouldnt be taking them
You sound selfiish to me. Take the time to give your baby a good start in life, and stop saying your fat, and need to lose weight fast. Can't you for as many months as possiable put this child ahead of instant thin for you. Why do people keep having children when they don't want to do the work required. It takes time and patience to get back to your pre-baby shape. Not pills!!
I have heard it all....OH MY GOD !
Please do not take that diet pill while breast feeding.
OK....Your Fat ! But you did not get fat overnight nor will you lose the weight overnight. Take it slow, exercise is good and eating healthy is better. Here are some tips:
The holidays can be stressful... and unfortunately, many people reach for food as comfort. If you find yourself regularly eating in response to stress, anxiety, sadness, boredom, anger, loneliness, relationship problems, or poor self-esteem, try to break the habit with some of my strategies below.
Learn to recognize your hunger. Before you automatically pop something into your mouth, rate your hunger on a scale of 1 to 5 -- 1 being ravenous and 5 being full. Make every effort to avoid eating when your hunger is a 4 or a 5.
Find alternatives to eating. Make a personal list of activities you can do instead of eating. Perhaps go for a walk, call a friend, listen to music, take a hot shower/bath, exercise, clean your house, polish your nails, surf the Internet, schedule outstanding appointments, watch television, look through a photo album,
Keep a food journal. Logging your food will help to identify your toughest timeframes. It also will make you accountable... so perhaps you'll be less apt to reach for unnecessary food.
Three-food interference. Make the commitment to first eat three specific healthy foods before starting on caloric comfort foods (i.e., an apple, handful of baby carrots and a yogurt). If after that, you still want to continue with your comfort foods, give yourself permission. However, most of the time, the three foods are enough to stop you from moving on.
Exercise regularly. Daily exercise relieves stress and puts you in a positive mindset, which provides greater strength to pass on the unhealthy fare.
Get enough sleep. Research shows that sleep deprivation can increase hunger by decreasing Leptin levels, the appetite regulating hormone that signals fullness. With adequate sleep, you'll also be less tired and have more resolve to fight off the urge to grab foods for comfort.
Hi,
Hydroxy cut is NOT safe when breastfeeding. I think Hoodia is ok, but def. check with your doctor before taking it. I've tried all different diets, and the weight loss is only temporary. I finally tried diet pills on the market are made from Hoodia. I saw this stuff on ABC News. It's all natural and safe, and it works! My wife took it for a month and dropped 20 pounds. I took it for a month and lost about 13 (but I didn't exercise).
I bought the natural hoodia from this website: http://www.alllsite.info/free-diet-pills... . I checked the web site address so I can post it here and I saw they're running a promotion now to get a free 2 week sample for only $4.97! I'm going to order this supply for my wife and give it to her for Christmas =)H
