I am about 100 lbs over weight. Any sugesstion? Diet pills? please help?

Question:

Answer:
I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

A sight with some really cool diet calculators and interesting calorie counting calculators is here. Check it out.

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.

Good LUCK!
did you try changing your eating habits? exercise? you should keep medication for last..because not all diet pills work for everyone's body. consult your doctor if you are unsure.
Teeny has it right. Thats the best way.
Diet pills alone won't work. If you read the small print it says use with diet and exercise. Of course if you diet and exercise you will lose weight. I just lost 100 pounds by watching what I ate and exercise atleast 5 times a week. It took one year of hard work but was well worth it. Good Luck.
Pure sugesstion is excercise yup that is the way. Forget diet pills those may have side effects. Since i sugessted excercise, it also depends how old you are if you are still gowing i mean you are getting tall, under the age of 20 you could do some excercise runing every morning and evening. Or you could go for swiming or you could start skipping. Dont do any lifting excercise, make sure you are sweating that means that fat is burning. And try to eat less like normal people remember, try to avoid oily foods n food with high calories (eat less live long not my words, discovery channel).
no diet pills those are not good for you
1) eat right
2) exerecise you can jump rope for 10min a day and you lose 10 pounds a mon. i think thats great

hope i could help.
no diet pills those don't work at all. i would go to the gym.3 times a week. go on jogs 3 times a week and work out at your house.
Its all about what you eat.Ever wondered why some people eat little but still fat?Same as to thin people who eat a plenty but don't gain weight.

Try shapeworks products.Personally,i've used this to lose weight though I don't have much pounds to lose.I felt more energetic without getting hungry.
I think that people who are overweight by this large of an amount have an addiction to food. I don't think that this has anything to do with the fact that you are hungry - you can't possibly be if you are eating enough to maintain an extra hundred pounds. You should try to get to the root of the problem - why are you eating like this? Stress, depression.. etc.. Food should be to keep you healthy, not as a crutch. I suspect binge eating, every time you feel this urge try and distract yourself from something. I almost guarantee that within fifteen minutes the feeling will have passed and you will not binge eat.
you need to change your eating habits,if you eat a lot in one go, try to eat little but often! then swap some of the bad foods for good ones. things like carrot that will still be sweet. do it slowly each week change one thing it might be to much all in one go for you to stick to. leave the pills alone they sound like a great idea but if they worked wouldnt we all be taking them and be the perfect weight!!
Do not use diet pills.I tried them and they made me too nervous. I think that it was the caffeine.I ended up flushing them down the toilet.I did lose weight but gained all of it back. You need to change the way you eat.Walking is a good exercise to do. It cost nothing and it's free and all it takes is your time.I use to walk everyday and I use to go jogging on a track.Don't give up and you can do it.I know it's hard.Try the Richard Simmons website.
I use to exercise with Richard Simmons.Good Luck and don't give up.
Keep a diary of everything you eat, when you eat it, who you're with, any other activities (ie watching t.v. etc...) while you're eating and how you're feeling. At the end of each day, look back and read through it. You'll begin to see patterns in your eating habits as well as see what you're eating. Once you've identified the patterns, begin to make some adjustments.

One thing to be aware of is how you feel when you eat. Do you tend to eat when you're bored, restless, anxious etc...? Try to be aware of those moods and instead of eating, make a conscious effort to find some other activity to occupy your time for example, instead of picking up the bag of chips because you're bored, pick up a magazine or book. Or instead of grabbing food, grab something to drink like juice. Make an effort to eat only when you feel hungry.

In addition, begin an exercise regime that works for you. Yoou don't have to start training for a marathon or anything like that. Do some subtle changes at first and then build up. For example, for those quick drives to the store, don't drive, walk there. Or if you work in an office building, take the stairs instead fo the elevator. Make sure the exercise regime fits into your current schedule, do not try to rework your life around an exercise program.

Also, don't be ashamed that you're trying to lose weight. Tell everyone you know what you're doing. By letting others know, you've put some added peer pressure on yourself to actually work at losing the weight. You'll also find a source of support and encouragement as well.

I wouldn't suggest taking any diet pills or other extreme measures to lose weight. Try the eating and lifestyle changes first. You'll begin to see and feel the changes. Just don't expect it to happen overnight. It'll take time, dedication and hard work, but it'll be worth it in the end.
Have you tried a low carb diet?
Visit lowcarbfriends.org they have great info on a lowcarb diet and great support! I've lost 13 pounds in 2 weeks and there are many many success stories.
Try to eat a lot of fruits!! I was 295lbs a few years ago and now I'm 130lbs, try to stay away from all of those pills ( they don't work) eat healthy,a lot of fruits, vegetables, steam your meats or cook them in the microwave, stay away from all fried foods, fast food rest. are awful for your diet. They should be your enemy right now It's all up to you!! grapefruits at least 2 a day are great! and lemon juice (fresh lemon) early in the morning before you have breakfast is also good. diets take a lot of effort and you have to be willing to sacrifice a lot. afternoon walks and try to stay active, move a lot your body needs the exercise because after you loose the weight your body needs to shape up otherwise your skin is not going to look too good since you want to loose a lot of weight.I think this is the healthier and safest way to loose weight.Good Luck &GOD Bless!! whatever you do be SAFE!
Absolutely no diet pills they do not work at all. If you are really serious about losing the weight you need to change how you eat. Cutting out things like pop, sugar, and fried foods can make a really big difference.

You should start choosing to eat the foods below to lose weight:

-Lean meats: Flank steak, skinless bone-less chicken breast, fish, boneless pork chops

-Vegtables

-Fruits

-Whole grain breads, grains & pastas

You should grill, bake, or broil any of your lean meats. Do not use heavy fattening sauces on any of you foods. There are ways to season meats to taste good with herbs, oils, etc. Two great cook books are the Sonoma Diet and the South Beach diet. Both of these plans teach you how to eat healthy for life...not just a diet.people who are at an ideal weight eat like they teach you in those two books.

You have to change your diet and start getting active. Start with just 10 minutes of activity a day and work it up. You will feel so much better.
I wouldn't recommend diet pills as a solution.

Changing your eating habits and kicking up the level of physical activity you do are a better bet.
It seems that everybody wants to lose weight. But when most people say they want to lose weight, what they really mean is they want to lose weight without altering their current lifestyle. They want to lose weight without changing the foods that they eat, or without getting up off the couch, turning off the television, and engaging in regular physical exercise. Not surprisingly, there is a huge market that offers shortcuts to weight loss through cosmetic surgery, diet pills, nutritional supplements, and various diets -- such as the Atkins Diet.

There's a growing group of people who leap from one weight loss fad to another, in search of the one thing that's going to finally help them lose weight without having to alter the foods they eat. People don't want to give up their soft drinks; they don't want to give up pizza, and ice cream, and fast food. And they sure don't have time to go out and exercise on a regular basis. So the shortcuts market is absolutely astounding -- $9.4 billion was spent last year on cosmetic surgery alone, and hundreds of millions more were spent on weight loss pills, fat burning nutritional supplements, and low-carb foods. It's a tremendous market, and the public seems to be more than willing to keep spending money on these items, even though the real answers are to be found in something entirely different.

The reality of weight loss is that there are no shortcuts! You can have cosmetic surgery to remove fat from your thighs, or the back of your arms, but if you continue eating the way you've been eating, your body will just deposit the fat somewhere else on your body -- usually in a place that looks even stranger than when it was on your hips. Even if the cosmetic surgery works out for you, it doesn't alter your blood chemistry, your cardiovascular health, or your level of physical fitness. Meaning that you are just as unhealthy after the surgery as you were before, even though you may physically show less body fat. Something similar is true with foods as well. Many people continue to eat a diet high in refined carbohydrates, added sugars, and obesity-promoting ingredients, such as high-fructose corn syrup. Then in an attempt to lose weight, they will take a couple of weight loss pills each day, and hope that those pills will some how counteract the entire day of eating unhealthy, obesity-promoting foods. It just doesn't work this way.

If you really want to lose weight, you've got to do two things. First you have to avoid foods that promote obesity and weight-gain. These are the foods that are consumed by the vast majority of Americans, and are the ones that are the most popular in grocery stores and restaurants. Any food that's processed or manufactured is very likely to promote obesity, or some other chronic disease. Foods made with refined white flour or refined sugar, for example, will undoubtedly alter your blood sugar levels and tell your body to start storing fat. Foods high in saturated animal fats, such as red meat, or foods that are high in hydrogenated oils, like margarine or shortening, will also pack on the body fat, and harm your cardio-vascular health at the same time. Achieving a healthy body weight absolutely requires taking these foods out of your diet for the rest of your life. You can have either soft drinks and processed foods, or a healthy body weight -- but not both. In fact, much of the foods available today in the national food supply are simply incompatible with a healthy body weight, no matter how much surgery you undergo, and no matter how many weight loss supplements you attempt to take.

The other part of the equation here is physical exercise. The human body simply won't shed excess body fat without engaging in regular physical exercise. Physical exercise gives you a much higher metabolism; it helps you burn calories, even while you're sitting or sleeping. It also increases your lean body mass -- especially when you engage in strength training -- and that results in even more calories being burned when you are at rest. Physical exercise, in fact, modifies your body chemistry in a way that helps your body better use refined foods such as breads or pasta. When you eat those foods without engaging in physical exercise, you're automatically going to add weight. But when you have an extremely fit body that engages in regular exercise, such as jogging, swimming, walking, or biking, you can get away with eating a few processed foods. But still you have to limit your intake of processed foods if you want to maintain a healthy body weight.

In my own case, I engage in rather vigorous physical exercise several times per week, typically putting in 10 hours of exercise each week. And even then, I don't allow myself to eat any breads or pasta or refined carbohydrates of any kind. I don't consume breakfast cereals; I don't drink fruit-drinks or consume soft drinks. And what I've found is that if I eat a piece of bread or have a sandwich, then those refined carbohydrates alter my blood sugar in a way that makes me extremely hungry three or four hours later. If I had eaten a high protein meal, or a meal high in healthy fats and fibers, I wouldn't be hungry so quickly. So it is these processed foods that are in fact causing the obesity in the first place. And consuming diet pills or weight loss supplements simply isn't the answer to long-term weight loss. The answer is to look at your lifestyle, examine what you're doing wrong that needs to be corrected, and then have the courage to make the changes that will bring you into a healthy body weight and keep you there for life.
