Diet pills and athletic performance?
Question:
(jogging, sprinting, etc.)
Answer:
it would depend on the active ingredient in the diet pills. Diet pills come in two 'flavours'. Those that work and those that are marketed to work but actually do very little.
Assuming you have done your reseach and are taking the one of the brands that does actually work you should find out how it works.
Pills that work normally use one of two approaches, either speeding up your metabolism and/or suppress appetite. (somewhat amusingly, nicotine will do just that which is partly why some smokers can stay thin, of course the health and performance hit you would take probably isn't worth the bother). There are also a couple of clever pills out now that block your bodies ability to absorb fat rather than tinking with your metabolism or appetite.
Theoretically any amphetamine based diet pill could give you a short term performance boost, but i would suspect like many drugs there would be a longer term impact as you body would soon adapt and expect the extra boost.
taking diet pills endanger your health and don't work, they make you hyper so you do not preform as well. not a wise choice to take diet pills
Ephadryne used to work wonders for me. That is until they banned it.
Diet pills these days are too subtle to help. So I started taking this energy booster called "5 Hour Energy" before each workout. It comes in a little bottle that you drink. It keeps me energized without all the jitteryness.
