if you really need to lose some weight and you have the physical ability you might consider what works for me
get some aerobic exercise daily (gradually build up your exercise session to 30 minutes then gradually build up to 45, 60 minutes)
the best way without doubt is jogging (start with fast walking and do not increase your distance too soon)
you can also use an elliptical machine or stationary bike
do not drink soda pop or eat fried foods or buttery foods
drink a lot of water and tea
go vegetarian and eat small meals each day such as fruit and oatmeal and rice & beans
make soy protein drinks if possible because its important to make sure you get enough protein when trying to lose weight

Sorry the only way to do your body good is to eat healthy and exercise at a gym 4or5 days a week.
I buy protien whey and once a week I drink a 8 ounze glass full every 2 hours for total 5 shakes and then at night I eat fish or chicken with tons of steamed vegies.
next 3 days eat only fruit all day ,but eat fish or chicken at night again with tons of steamed vegies. you should loose about 5-6pounds .

It is strict, and the workouts are TOUGH but there is no starving and no supplements if you don't desire them. Basically it is a jump start to a healthier way of life. Six serious weeks is no real issue when you want a body you are proud to show off.
