I need to lose weight desperately, I have no will power any suggestions? Diet pills don't even work anymore.
Question:
Answer:
Honestly, its better you consult a specialist to find out what's best for you. I really want to help but I don't think I can give better answers than specialist do. Sorry.
good luck
Love is omnipresence, Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
If will power is the issue then get a friend to kick you up the **** and motivate you. Quick fixes aren't a healthy long term solution, if that's all you're after then give up now. Loosing weight is about altering your lifestyle by being more active and excersising, if you're not prepared to do that then don't kid yourself.
Not being nastey, just truthful.

Diet pills don't work. When trying to loose weight, it can become very frustrating. However you have to stay focused and look towards your goal. Try eating a balanced diet. That doesn't mean you need to practically starve yourself, an important thing to remember is that it isn't how much you eat, it is what you eat. So try filling up on healthier foods. Also exercising is a good way to burn calories. The trick to loosing weight is burning more calories than you take in. Good Luck, and don't give up!
You won't lose any weight until you develop will power, motivation, and persistence. You can lose weight through crash diets, but be ready for all of it to come back, AND more, the minute you stop and go back to your old ways.
The only way you'll lose long-term weight is to burn off more than what you eat, which yes, does mean exercise or at least staying active like housechores, coupled with eating less and healthier.
Get a friend or your hubby to help you with exercises and walking think positive think of future don't worry about eating junk foods just control them gradually that slowly comes up as u say no to a packet of candies and take one instead of the whole lot.
Eat right + exercise. Just know if you go on a no carb diet once you get off track a no carb diet won't work anymore.
In my opinion, you'll never lose weight without exercise. Without exercise, your body will just keelp adjusting to lower and lower calorie intake until you're so tired you can't get out of bed in the morning.
Some tips:
*Talk to your doctor. AND BE HONEST about your past yo-yo dieting. He can refer you to a program that will offer you both support and nutritional information.
*Stop buying foods that you know are keeping you heavy. You don't have to give up everything--just make smarter choices.
*Don't wait until you're starving to eat.
*Don't shop when you're hungry.
*Sit down and make out a meal plan.
And my #1 (except to begin a walking program) is to keep a food diary for a couple of weeks. You'll be AMAZED at what you can learn.
Good Luck!
I would try several things:
1. Get a bikini, put it on, and & a friend take pictures of you in it. Print them out, and take a good look at them. This will be your motivation, so put them up on the wall in your bedroom, living room, anywhere so that you see them once, or better, several times a day. The point is to remind you what you're working for.
2. Start with proper nutrition. Start eating 6 small meals per day, this will keep you full and hopefully start to curb your cravings & bad eating habits.
3. Start working out. Run, jog, or walk 3 times per week. Get some cheap dumbbells from Wal Mart & do weight training the other 3 days of the week.
I dislike diet pills, as usually they are not tested by the FDA, and can do weird things to your body. In addition, once you get off of them, 99% of the time you put the weight back on.
A good, basic workout & nutrition plan is found in the book Body for Life, or www.bodyforlife.com
Good luck.
I felt the same way about 1 month, but I had to make up my mind that that is really what I wanted, I even went to a consultation for gastric bypass. ( I was desperate.) Had been on-line and purchased EVERY pill that caught my attention regarding losing weight(without exercise) which just isn't possible, so I got my doctor to write me a prescription for adipex 37.5 mg on 3-23-06 works excellent, I mean great, I started out at 290 pounds, as of 4-6-2006 I weigh 276.7 I have also started walking, but nothing major, I haven't even made it past 30 minutes, but it is a start, I am trying to get to 250 because I am also tall, so I don't wanna be too small, But I am so excited about this pill, that I am constantly bragging about it, I love it.
Prescription diet pills stop working after a while, and over the counter ones never work.
To lose weight, you have to exercise and eat less. Even with a diet pill--that's what they're about, to make you eat less and move more! If you can't motivate yourself no one will do it for you.
You can have a friend take some really unflattering pictures of you looking really fat and horrid and post them everywhere in your house; that might work.
